DAY 1

DespuĆ©s de 2 dĆ­as de pura felicidad en la montaƱa, tomarĆ” su transporte hacia la costa sur del PacĆ­fico para disfrutar de un bienvenido aumento de la humedad y la temperatura. Su primer destino es Uvita, una ciudad en desarrollo que se encuentra entre las hermosas playas protegidas del Parque Nacional BahĆ­a Ballena (BahĆ­a Ballena, llamada asĆ­ debido a que la costa toma la forma de la cola de una ballena durante la marea baja) y Ć”reas boscosas montaƱosas donde tener acceso a impresionantes cascadas y senderos circundantes. Ā”TendrĆ” 2 noches en este lugar donde podrĆ” caminar, surfear, nadar o simplemente disfrutar de todo!

DAY 2

Your hotel is next door to the Manuel Antonio National Park entrance, where you will enjoy a guided group tour of the park. Your guide will take you on a nice walk to view a variety of animal species and explain not only their names but their natural habitat as well.
 
The park has a gorgeous private beach for guests to enjoy. After your tour in  Manuel Antonio National Park, you can take a surf lesson with a local instructor, use a boogie board to enjoy the gentle waves in the warm water, or enjoy the rest of the day by the pool or on the beach!

DAY 3

While staying in Manuel Antonio, you’ll also explore the deeper jungle on a horseback ride to private waterfalls where you can enjoy swimming in the refreshing water. 
 
After enjoying the water for a while, you’ll have a delicious Typical Costa Rican lunch at a farm cooked by a local. Enjoy the rest of the day by the pool or join the yoga class.

Zipline through the canopy to see more wildlife from high above.

DAY 4

You’ll visit the Boruca People and see how this indigenous tribe has preserved their native culture, way of life, religion, medicine, food, and language.
 
The Boruca people are artisans well known for their traditional mask-making, and weaving. You’ll have the opportunity to learn how each item is created. Head to your next destination Rio Chirripo Lodge.

DAY 5

While staying in Rio Chirripo, you’ll visit a local cheesemaker. On this tour, you’ll get the opportunity to milk a cow and learn the process of cheese making. The family will teach you about the farm’s sustainability and history in the area. At this small family-owned farm, you’ll get to taste a variety of cheeses during your visit.
 
Down the street from the cheesemaker is a butterfly dome exhibit where you’ll see many butterflies and learn about the diverse butterflies of Costa Rica.

DAY 6

After breakfast, you will go to Cloudbridge Reserve for a hike along a river trail past two huge waterfalls. On this hike, you may spot birds and other wildlife, while learning about this special cloud forest and the restoration work that has evolved over several decades. 
 
On your way back to San Jose, you’ll get the opportunity to visit a small cacao farm and learn how this tasty fruit transforms into chocolate. During this tour you’ll learn the entire process, get to taste cacao, and make it into chocolate. Once you’ve had your fill of chocolate we'll head back to the capital city, San Jose.

DAY 7

Fly back to the United States. You’ve had an amazing trip, take a few moments to reflect on your experience and think about all that you have learned about Costa Rica.

Irth Tours is always available should any emergency arise during your entire adventure.

 

Partnerships: We work closely with Medical Professionals and Medical Centers throughout Costa Rica. If you need any medical assistance on one of our tours, you can rest assured that Medical Professionals are on standby to assist if need be. These are trusted medical professionals that are in each town that you’ll be visiting during your tour. These professionals are well established with great relationships within their communities. Your Tour Host and Tour Director will have these contacts in the event of needing medical assistance.

 

Insurance: Irth Tours works exclusively with INS National Insurance Company. INS was established In 1920, and is the longest and most reputable insurance company in Costa Rica. Irth Tours carries extra Insurance to cover tour hosts and the schools that we partner with.
